Having difficulty enabling tax exemption while setting up an employee.
Good evening, TatianaC.
Thanks for turning to the QuickBooks Community for support. I'd be happy to help.
Before we begin, can you elaborate more on the issue you're experiencing when you try to enable tax exemption while setting up an employee? Also, can you try enabling the tax exemption in a private browser (Incognito) to see if you get the same results? Sometimes browsing data accumulates and prevents the software from doing what it is is supposed to do.
Ill be on standby!
Hello Amanda,
Thanks for getting back to me. I attempted using the incognito browser, but the issue persists. When setting up an employee over 65 years old and trying to click on the Canada Pension Plan button under the Tax Withholding/Tax Exemption section, I receive an error message:
"We are unable to save your tax setup information. Please try again."
Kind regards
Tatiana
Welcome back, TatianaC!
Thanks for the additional information. I appreciate you trying in a private browser. Based on the information you've provided, the best course of action would be to contact our support team outside of the Community. They'll be able to verify your account details in a secure setting, as well as view your screen to better assist you. You can reach them by following one of these methods:
Schedule a Callback or start a Chat: click (?)Help in the upper right > type and enter "Contact support" into the QB Assistant > click Contact Us > explain your situation > click Let's Talk > choose Get a callback or Start a Chat.
If you have any other questions, feel free to reach out here.
You have clicked a link to a site outside of the QuickBooks or ProFile Communities. By clicking "Continue", you will leave the community and be taken to that site instead.
