The notification that MFA for QBO Payroll is being released this month (QBO Canada). "It is a way to verify your identity by sending a unique one-time password to the mobile number associated with your account."
What if there is no mobile number that can be associated with our account? Can the MFA be used with a regular phone? There is no text option on the phone associated with the business as it goes to an auto-attendant so that callers can select the extension needed based on the menu and get directed to the appropriate person within the business?

At this time, there isn't an option that allows the MFA code to be sent to a landline. I can see how this would be beneficial for you and your company. I encourage you to leave feedback by heading to the Gear icon and selecting the Feedback option. These comments are viewed and considered by our developers as they create new features and updates for QuickBooks. If you require further assistance, I recommend reaching out to the support team outside of the Community. You can reach them by following one of these methods:

That's unfortunate. Why does QB expect users to comply with mandatory changes if they do not factor in that some businesses do not have a mobile phone related to their business? Seems like the developers didn't think this one through and I will be sending feedback about this issue as it will affect my ability to use QB.
