To get started, it's important to note that a change in subscription cost such as a price increase, new features being added such as apps payroll, and discounts expiring etc. can contribute to the price changing. I recommend checking your subscription invoice to view a breakdown of the costs.

I will guess that $7 a month was an introductory offer, probably for three months from signup.

Simple Start starts at $35 a month, Plus is $99 a month, and Advanced is $235 a month. All have much more reasonable introductory offers - given the dismal state of QB Online - which lasts for three months.
A customer service rep at QuickBooks Intuit told me I HAD to upgrade to $65. Then another rep said I didn't need it. THEN another rep said to upgrade again...THEN the last rep I talked to put it back on the Simple Start BUT THE PRICE WENT UP $5.00!
This is the reps at QuickBooks Intuit that did this! I spent another hour with a billing rep who, after all the explaining to change it back to the $30 + tax month = $31.88, I was hung up on. So upset with the service I am NOT getting. Can you please help?? Connie D'Andrea. D'Andrea Leather

Be careful when sharing your phone number here. Only scammers will contact you. Regarding your problem, I'm not sure they would bother changing your QB plan to the old rate. You'll have to sign up for a new blank account at a discounted rate or switch to another app entirely.
Any changes made to your QuickBooks subscription, will result in a current promotional offer being void.
