Hi keith-summers.

Being able to import information into your QuickBooks Online account is a great way to enter a lot of information quickly. I'd be happy to help you with getting your mileage imported into QuickBooks Online.

Currently the only file type that you can import into your QuickBooks Online Mileage tracker would be .CSV. As this is the only file type a json file will not be able to be imported without the use of a third party app or converting the file to .CSV. If you wish to use a third party app to import your information into your account you can click on the Apps link in the left hand menu of your QuickBooks Online account.

If you decide to get it converted into a .CSV file you can import it by going to Mileage>Arrow beside add trip>Select the appropriate import from option and follow the prompts.

If you have any questions let us know and we'd be happy to help.

Hi Nick,
Thanks for your suggestion.
I've found a way to convert the json files to csv.  And also found a way to convert the json timecodes to 'normal dates'.
Curious about the app/import process.  When I look at the list of apps - I don't see one that says "use this to import csv files into Mileage".  I see apps for csv...and I see apps for mileage/travel.
Is there one in particular you'd recommend?

Hi keith-summers,

It's nice to see you back!  It's important that you're able to import your mileage seamlessly, and choosing the app that best suits your needs can be time consuming.  With that being said, a recommendation for a specific app may impact businesses differently and not meet your full expectations.  I recommend having a look at the reviews submitted by other users of the associated apps, and reaching out to their support team for more details and reassurance that it's the best fit.

If you have any other questions, we're here for you and always glad to assist!
