I cannot access customized templates

I do not have access to customize templates. Nor can I choose which template I want to use when creating an invoice. I only get the default one.

Hi lindabenson-intr,

 

Welcome to Community!  I can see how your day can be affected when you're not seeing options to customize templates, or choose an alternate template when creating an invoice.  QuickBooks Online allows business owners to manage and set user roles within different areas of the account, based on the product they've subscribed to.  I'd be happy to assist!

 

Initially, I recommend clearing cache on your browser and then log into your QuickBooks Online account using a private or incognito browser.  You may want to also try Google Chrome, Edge, Safari or Firefox browsers, to see if you get the same result.

 

In addition, I suggest reaching out to the Primary Admin on the account with regards to your user permissions.  They'll have the ability to review your user role and make any necessary changes to allow the you access you need.

 

If you're the Primary Admin on the account and you continue to experience this behavior, please contact us so we can take a deeper look into the situation from our end.  We'd be pleased to have the opportunity to work with you in real time, and get you back to business in a timely fashion.

 

Schedule a Callback or start a Chat: click (?) Help in the upper right in QuickBooks Online > type and enter "Contact support" into the QB Assistant > click Contact Us > explain your situation > click Let's Talk > choose Get a callback or Start a Chat.

What permission needs to be toggled 'on' in order to have users (other than admin) access the customize button when generating a new invoice?
