You can merge duplicate team members in QuickBooks Time through the Merge team members section, jhogan590.

 

When the employee's profile information, such as first name, last name, and email address, matches, you can merge them in QuickBooks Time. To do this, here's how:

 

  1. Sign in to classic QuickBooks Time.
  2. Go to My Team and select Merge team members.
  3. Select the first user profile you want to merge. In the second box, any eligible worker profiles will appear that can be merged with the first selected user.
  4. Choose the duplicate user you would like to merge.
  5. Click Merge.

 

Moreover, please note that QuickBooks Time only syncs approved time data to QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT). It does not update your employee list, as QuickBooks Time does not modify any information in your company file during the integration. Additionally, please ensure you approve timesheets before exporting them to QBDT. Once approval is complete, you can proceed to export the approved hours.

Occasionally, QuickBooks encounters difficulties with certain features due to an excess of cached files in your browser. To fix it, let's perform the browser troubleshooting process.

 

First, restart your browser. Then, log in to your account in a private browser and check if you can see the Merge team members option. You can use these keyboard shortcuts to launch a new private window:

 

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Microsoft Edge: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: Command + Shift + N

 

If it fixes the issue, go back to the regular browser and clear the cache. Doing this will eliminate outdated files or data that cause system issues and glitches. Otherwise, you can use another supported browser.
