Hello cliu,
It's awesome that you're looking to transfer from QuickBooks Desktop to QuickBooks Online. I want to make sure you're able to join the QuickBooks cloud family and get back to work in the books. I'll help you with this process.
It seems to me that you mean you're not seeing the company listed in the transfer portal, and that perhaps there's a typo in your question. When migrating files from QuickBooks Desktop to QuickBooks Online, the important thing to keep in mind is the window of time within which the file can be migrated to the Online account. What I mean is when you create a QuickBooks Online account, there's a 60-day period within which you can migrate your data. When you're past that 60-day window, it means creating a new account to migrate the data into.
Since you say this is a new company that you just set up, it sounds like you may have just created the account and you should be fine. As a troubleshooting step, I recommend clearing the cache of your Internet Explorer browser. The migration process pulls on the data from Internet Explorer even though you're completing the steps directly in QuickBooks Desktop. Give that a shot and then try the process again. Here's a Microsoft article that can help you with clearing the cache: View and delete your browsing history in Internet Explorer
The other option is that you're a QuickBooks Online Accountant user with a number of client shell accounts, in which case it could simply be that support needs to unlock the account for you. Once it's unlocked, it should show up in the list.
Whether you have a brand new QuickBooks Online account that you're not seeing in the transfer portal or you're an accountant and you need an account unlocked, feel free to get in touch with support using one of the following options.

Hi
I am exporting data from QuickBooks desktop to QuickBooks online. it says files are too large
Hi lthom,
Picking the best program to track your business finances is something every business owner has to do. I can help go over the error you're receiving.
Moving between QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online is made easy by letting you start the transfer right from your Desktop program. There are some stipulations to move your information over to the Online platform however such as your total targets being less than 350,000. If you get the message your file is to large to move over you'll need to reach out to our QuickBooks Desktop support staff for them to create a ticket to have our back office team move it over for you. You can contact them at 877-772-9158.
Hope this helps.
Use a SuperCondense service to transfer data from large files to QBO.
There is no Condense Data utility on QBD CA. You may open a QBO CA account
https://quickbooks.grsm.io/Canada
then you may have 2 options:
1. Utilize a migration tool. i.e TPExporter for Desktop, TPImporter for Online
https://transactionpro.grsm.io/qbd
2. Purchase a 3rd party migration service. Check our profile name and send your business email address in a private message to us.
Consider using a 3rd party service for a condense and upload to QBO.
