I'm trying to get a report that shows a breakdown of each employee's direct deposit pay amount that makes up the lumpsum amount that gets debited from my bank account for payroll.
For example, if $5,000 is debited from my bank account for QuickBooks payroll and this amount consisted of the paychecks for 3 employees, I'd like the report to show me this breakdown that would make up the $5000 amount.
Is there a report that I could generate that would show me this?
Hi there,
Welcome to the Community. QuickBooks offers a variety of reports that help you bring your finances into perspective with ease. I'll be happy to share more info so you can continue to do the things you enjoy.
Since the report you've described isn't available, the available alternative would be running the Payroll Details report and using the customization options in QuickBooks to help narrow down the info you'd like to see. In case you need to customize/filter the report, here's an article that shows you how to do that. Here's an article that provides helpful info about: Payroll reports overview.
I also encourage you to check out this article here that goes over the: Reports included in your QuickBooks Online subscription.
Let me know if this info helps. I'll be one message away in case you need further assistance. Otherwise, I wish you a great rest of the week.
Hi James,
Thank you for your response. I'm looking into these articles now.
Since a report like the one I described is not available, would I be able to pull up a listing of all employee direct deposits that were transmitted (date of direct deposit, employee name, $ amount) during a certain period of time? Also, do you know how far in time I'd be able to go back?
Appreciate your help!
Briana
Glad to hear back from you, Brianna. Have you tried running the Employee Details report? This report shows a current snapshot of each employee, including pay rate, deductions, and tax withholding. The good thing about the reports is you can customize them to view the date range you'd like to view. Here's a helpful article that shows you: How to customize reports in QuickBooks. Feel free to ask other questions. I'll be on standby.
