I have been using Quickbooks Self Employed online but finally got the approval for Quickbooks Premiere for non-profits. I am trying to transfer my data from Quickbooks online to this desktop version for non-profits. I don't see any way to import the files that Quickbooks online exports. All the help documents I can find talk about switching to QuickBooks online. I am really not finding Quickbooks Desktop very user-friendly so far. Can someone please help me figure out how to import these files?
Are you using QB Self Employed or QB Online?
I was using Quickbooks Self Employed and want to transfer the data to Quickbooks Desktop Premiere for Non-Profits
QBSE is a stand alone product. You can export the data out to CSV/XLS and utilize one of these tools to import data into your QB Desktop file.

Bear in mind, you can still purchase a one time license (outright) of QB Desktop 2021 Premier if you prefer to save money.
Hello sherri-thebarefo. Glad to have you reach out to us here. Since there isn't a direct way to migrate your data from QB Online to QB Desktop, you'll have to manually accomplish this by manually migrating your data. I encourage you to check out this article in the linked text that shows you how to export your data from QuickBooks Online via Excel and then import it into QuickBooks Desktop when you're ready.
In case you need more info on how to get started with QB Desktop, check out this article: Getting started with QuickBooks Desktop. Feel free to ask other questions here, I'll be on standby in case you have other questions. Otherwise, I wish you a great rest of the day.
