Quickbooks Canada 2021 R4 Download?

Happy Holidays.
Please excuse me if I missed some news or a link but I cannot find a download link for QBD Accountant 2021 R4 version. The Updates page shows that is the latest but no indication it is delayed or coming soon.

Can anyone advise if I may be looking in the wrong place and if so how to get the R4 update please?

Hi again Robert.

I've taken a look at your question and what my colleague outlined and can explain what's going on and why you're not seeing the R4 release despite articles like Release notes for QuickBooks Desktop 2021 already listing it.

The R4 release isn't yet available for QuickBooks Desktop due to last-minute changes from the Canadian government that have caused some delays in our coding. As the article suggests, the update will include the newest payroll tax tables and will also accommodate the new T4 fields as per CRA guidelines. The update is scheduled to release at the end of the month.

I can see how the articles aren't quite clear that this isn't released quite yet. I'll be following up with my team to ensure that the information is as clear as possible so that QuickBooks Desktop users can be on top of their work and plan for the updates as needed.

I hope you're holidays have been well! QuickBooks Online aims to keep our software updated swiftly so that your workflow is not impeded. I'd be happy to share some information about the version release.

Please see our Release notes for QuickBooks Desktop 2021 for information on the 2021 R4 release. If your program is not already updated to that version, you can find information on how to update the program manually through this article: Update QuickBooks Desktop to the latest release.

Thank you for the quick reply. I was thinking maybe it was an Edge vs Chrome browser issue but on checking https://downloads.quickbooks.com/app/qbdt/products?productName=QuickBooks%20Desktop%20Accountant&edi... all I can see is the link for R3. I run Automatic Updates and it says it has updated but hitting F2 shows 2021 R3 only.

There should be a specific link for R4 is there not?

I thought it was likely something like that and appreciate if you wouldn't mind suggesting a more clear labelling if something is not yet ready (a simple "... coming soon" might avoid any confusion)
