Welcome to Community! The QuickBooks Online mobile app is wonderful for use while on the go. There are some limitations however, when using time sheets in relation to payroll. I'd be happy to provide more insight on this for you.
When employees are added to your QuickBooks Online account as 'time tracking' users only, they'll be able to track their own time when using a mobile browser on their device, or from a computer. The entries will be visible in your books when the information has been saved.
Here's how to add a 'time tracking only' user:
1. Click on the Gear in the top right of your QuickBooks Online account
2. Select Manage users and then hit Add user
3. Choose Time tracking only and then Next
4. Follow the steps to complete the process
5. When finished hit Save
They'll receive an invitation in their email to complete their account set up for time tracking.
In addition, you can also use the feature to track and bill customers for hours spent on a project or activity.
