I have 500 students payments to be applied to invoices in QuickBooks Desktop, does any knows how to batch payments to invoices.
Hello Anna, I'll outline two scenarios to help you apply or match your students' payments to their invoices.
If this is a lump sum payment and you want to apply it to multiple invoices, you'll first need to wait for it to appear in your bank feeds.
Once it does, you can match it to the existing invoices in QuickBooks Desktop by following these steps:
However, if you have multiple separate payments that need to be applied to multiple invoices, you'll have to match them manually. QuickBooks Desktop does not currently offer a feature to batch apply payments to invoices.
If you have other concerns, let us know below. We're always here to help.
You can prepare your Receive Payments data with the following template
| Customer | Check Number | Transaction Date | Payment Method | Memo | Apply to Invoice (blank auto-applies) | Amount | Deposit To | Discount Amount | Discount Account | Discount Class | AR Account | Exchange Rate |
| Anne's Bakery | 123 | 01/11/2020 | Check | 100 | 10000 | Checking | ||||||
| John's Barber Shope | 999 | 01/11/2020 | Check | 101 | 500 | Checking |
then use an importer tool to proceed. It's a $199 one time license.

If you have a US business credit card or ACH, you can get a free license from a partner. T&C apply.
Thank you, very much, once I try this option. I will provide an update
SheandL, thanks for your response, I realize that the batch option is available in the US but not in Canada, but I am hoping to find a work around especially when dealing with such a large number of entries
