Have you tried opening your QBO account on private/incognito browser?

Being able to pull up accounts and follow up on cases is one of the key factors of a case number. I'd be happy to provide steps on how to get a case number from your account.

 

As this is a public forum we'd like to keep everyone's accounts secure. For this reason personal information and account information including case numbers are not to be shared here.

 

If you wish to get a case number from your account you'd need to contact us using one of the following methods: 

Schedule a Callback or start a Chat: click (?)Help in the upper right in QuickBooks Online > type and enter "Contact support" into the QB Assistant > click Contact Us > explain your situation > click Let's Talk > choose Get a callback or Start a Chat.
Social Media: FacebookTwitter, and Instagram.
Support hours are from Monday to Friday between 9 a.m. and 8 p.m. ET.

Wow, today is the first time I've been able to respond to one of my posts!  I just tried to setup a new project in QBO today and it appears to have worked! Hopefully the issue is solved.

Even though I followed the other instructions posted to contact support and request that my account gets updates to the issue, none have been received.

I find this is usual for QBO.  They do an upgrade or improvement in the back, and don't inform the users.  The change triggers something which causes some feature of the application to not perform as before.  A case/issue is called in, diagnosed by several, referred to the engineers and then eventually is fixed.  No notification to the users that a change is going to be made, no notification that the issue is being resolved.

Hi Nick,

I spoke to an agent on Friday again about the issue as instructed by another support person via the post to request info on the new project creation known issue with the engineers.

 

As mentioned in my post, QBO is back up and working again.  I was able to create a new project.

 

Unfortunately, this isn't the first time I have experienced this service with QBO before.  My recommendation, post info when logging in that notes an update or upgrade to the app will be occurring on said date.  Then, when folks call in regarding something not working, each of us do not need to spend time online screen sharing with support only to find out that several users have the same issue and it is known by the engineers.  My experience has been that whenever this happens, it takes a few weeks for resolution and once back, no notification to the users who filed issues/cases.
