Hi crBookkeeping2.
Welcome to the QuickBooks Community! This is a place where we all get together to help one another out with questions about QuickBooks. Transferring information into QuickBooks Desktop is a great way to save time and effort when transferring. I'd be happy to help you with getting your data moved over.
In order to move your information over from Sage50 you would need to export to either a CSV/XLS file or a .IIF file. Depending on which file type you have available you can import them into desktop using the following article.
If you have any questions let us know and we'd be happy to help!
Hi,
Are you able to transfer transactions as well as the lists from Sage to QB - or is this only available through a 3rd party?
Thanks,
Cara
Create IIF files for importing customers, accounts and vendors, but for transactions, I have never had a lot of success. It is not super clean to do.
Are you going to be using payroll in QBD? If so, be aware of the new payroll pricing structure in QBD.
