Hi there! We are about to open another business inside the company that we already have. I just don't know how to add it to the application. Can you help us out please?

It's great to learn you're looking to open another account for your business. QuickBooks Online gives you the flexibility you need to easily manage multiple accounts. I'll be happy to provide the info you need so you're on the right track with your work. 

 

Since QuickBooks only allows one company for each subscription, I recommend setting up the new account using the same email address as the existing account. The reason is that once you've done this, you can easily switch between your QuickBooks accounts in just a few clicks. Once you've set up your new account under the same email, you can follow the steps below to switch between your QuickBooks companies. This is great as it saves you time from having to log out and in each time you're switching between your companies. Here's how to switch companies:

  1. Select Settings ⚙️.
  2. Under Profile/Your Company, select Switch Company.
  3. From the list, select the company you want to switch to.

From here, the company you select will now be active. Let me know if you need anything else. I'll be one message away in case you need anything else.

One QBO account is for one company file. You can manage branches/divisions by utilizing the Class/Location feature available in QBO Plus. Otherwise you should open a new account.
