We need a rolling "Month" on our invoice to display for customers "Subscription Period".
So we added a custom field for this; but we have to manually change the month for every client.
We want to automate the field so the month rolls over for each period when the Recurring transaction/invoice is generated.

Is there a QB add-on app for that?
If not then it's not a good answer.
Not add-ons but 3rd party apps to integrate with QBO.
No; that's not a solution. We pay for QB; I'm sure they can add a rolling subscription period to the Recurring invoice template.
I'm not sure they will release this feature anytime soon. Consider switching to another accounting app with this feature.
3rd party apps are expensive; I'll just wait for QB to add the one property to their invoice for "Rolling Billing Period".
BTW we are in the software development business and for QB not to add this tiny feature in less than a year seems like they are protecting the app builders market. I will not pay $299 / month for one property/feature.
