You may have 2 options:
1. Purchase a 3rd party service to convert your data to another cloud based accounting app with a free plan before cancelling your QBO account.
2. Purchase a 3d party service to convert your data to QB Desktop file. You can use the trial version to access your historical data for good.
Hello expertraders,
Welcome to Community! I'm saddened to hear that you will be leaving the QuickBooks family. However, we understand that things happen, and decisions must be made. Keeping your data on file is essential, for future reference. I would be glad to assist!
QuickBooks Online enables you to export your data, by following the steps in this helpful guide. Once you've downloaded your files, you can proceed with cancelling your account. Please be advised that you will continue to have 'read-only' access to your account for one year from the date of cancellation. This provides you with the opportunity to reactivate your account, or access any other data that you may need. In addition, if you're subscribed to QuickBooks Online Payroll, you will not have access to any payroll information or associated forms, unless you resubscribe. For this reason, it's important to complete any payroll tasks, prior to cancelation, such as creating ROE's, paying Remittances, or printing the PD7A, or other forms, as you feel necessary.
Please don't hesitate to touch base with us again, if you have any other questions or concerns. We would be happy to help!
Can you explain this more fully? What "third party service"? What am I search for? What trial version? QB trial?
I also did not renew; just can't afford it anymore, and only need a checkbook feature. Because I didn't renew, I can't even open the file on my computer, or open the download the accountant sent me.
