Hello lnacctg1625-corp,
QuickBooks Online allows you to export reports and other important information to PDF or Excel format, giving you flexibility when sharing your data. It's important that you're able to do this without any issues. Don't worry, I can help shed some light on this for you.
The steps to export your QuickBooks Online information to Excel will depend on what you're trying to export. If you're trying to export general ledger, balance sheet and profit and loss and other list information to move your data to a new software, this is done by navigating to the Gear icon, selecting Export Data and then clicking Export. If you're trying to export a report to Excel format, this can be done by following the steps detailed in this Community article: Export your reports to Excel from QuickBooks Online
If you're still unable to export your information to Excel format after following the steps above, then this could be a performance issue caused by a build up of browsing data. I recommend trying the following troubleshooting steps, checking between each to see if you're now able to export the desired data to Excel:
Please reach out if there's anything else that I can assist you with, I'm here to help!
I know this is old, trying to bring it back to current because the problem is - am in the middle of big project and all of a sudden qbo will not export to Excel - this is absolutely unacceptable. Customer support says same old thing, clear cache - etc - I DID ALL THAT and I still cannot export - anybody else having this issue?
Hello susan3rd. I'll be happy to help with the issue you're having. I'd like to start off by troubleshooting this issue to determine if it's a browser-related issue. Clearing cache and cookies is a great way to clean your browser allowing it to work more efficiently. Here's an article that shows you how to do that: How to clear cache and cookies. If this doesn't work, I suggest using a private/incognito window to see if that works instead. Try this out and let me know what happens. In case this issue persists, I encourage you to contact our support team so they can assist you further with this. Here are our contact details:
I'll be one message away in case you need further assistance.
