I had to start over in QB's and when I reconnected my bank account it only imported April to July. I need Jan. to Mar as well. How do I achieve that?

Do I have to delete my bank account and restart with the banking transactions?

Ask your bank statement file to your bank and you can import the file manually. Otherwise, utilize the SlickConnect.
