I have purchased a new laptop and wish to install Quick Book Pro 2012 on my new laptop. The new laptop does not have a slot for cd, therefore my choice is limited to online. I tried to install it by going to the link QuickBooks Downloads & Updates .In order to download by using this link you need to input:
Your country, type of package and the year.
For Canada, the link only allowed to input up to 2016 onward. There is no allowance to input 2012. I will highly appreciate if someone can help me to download the 2012 pro-Canadian version in my new laptop. I do have Lic and Product Code.

Sorry to say you can not.
QB 2015 was the first year to work on win10, and even if you can get an older version to work on win10, one of the win10 autoupdates will break it.

Highly appreciate your comments. I would like to share my finding with other members i.e.
if the package is purchased in the USA the system will allow you to install, however, if the package is purchased in Canada or the UK the system would not let you install any package pre 2016.
Hi kam2045,
It's great that you'd like to continue using your QuickBooks Desktop 2012 program. I'm happy to clarify this situation with what's available for download. As you've discovered, here in Canada we don't have download links for anything older than 2016. Shortly, it'll only be 2017, 2018, and 2019 as we only offer support for the most recent three years of the product. Even if you use download links for other countries, the program will reject your product and license numbers because they're tailored to the specific regional version. In this case, Canada.
I'm glad to hear that you do have the disc for your 2012 version, since that'll be what you need to use to install it. Rustler's advice about what could happen after install is good information to have, but if you'd still like to try, here's a potential solution. I hear what you're saying about the new laptop not having a disc drive. My recommendation is checking into external disc drives. I've personally used one and it's great. Mine plugs in via a USB port and I can just insert the disc. Stores that carry computer equipment, such as Best Buy or Staples carry these kinds of products. You can also check online, of course.
Otherwise, consider upgrading to 2019 so that you're able to continue using the product. It's got many great new features that may be beneficial to your business. Our sales team can help you find the right fit for you and let you know what purchase options are available. Give them a call at 1-888-829-8589. They're off for the long weekend holiday, but the department's regular hours are Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. EST. Give them a try tomorrow if you'd like.
I hope that helps. I'm here if you have further questions. :)
Hi! Kam2045
I hope your QB problem was fixed. I'm hoping if you can help me with my problem. I accidentally delete my company QB 2012 on my computer. I have a Back up file but I do not have an installer cause company QB CD is already damage. I would like to ask a favor if you can lend me a copy of your Quickbook Pro 2012 installer. Hope you can help me.
Thanks
