It's always great to upgrade your system, especially when you can get the latest technology. I'll go over your options for installing 2014 on this new system.
At this time, Intuit has download links available for the most recent years of the program. In this case, 2014 is an old and unsupported version of the program. This means that you'd need the install disc in order to install it on your new computer. You may also be able to pull the install files from your old computer, put them on a USB stick, and then use them to install on the new computer, but that's not guaranteed to work. It's also not guaranteed whether the program will update to its highest release.
It's great that you've still got the product and licence number for your original product. I suspect what's happened is you've downloaded a more recent version or a non-Canadian version of the program, which is why it's rejecting your numbers. The licence and product numbers are tied to specific yearly and regional versions of the program.
