Invoices

I have quickbooks online.

When printing the invoice, 95% of the time the  customers name and address  prints on the invoice.

But there are a few invoices that the customer name is not on the invoice, only the address.

What are we doing wrong?   How to correct, so customer name is on the invoice?

Hi Automechanic,

Glad to hear from you again. I trust that all is well on your end and that business is going good. It's important you're able to print 100% of your invoices with the customer's name and address. Rest assured, I'll be happy to look into this further so you can get back on track ASAP.

Since 95% of the invoices are printing correctly, I'd like to investigate and see if this could be an invoice template issue. QuickBooks offers a variety of templates which help you customize your invoices so they stand out to your customers. For the 5% of the invoices that don't show the name and address, could you verify if the template is similar to the other invoices? You can do this by opening up the faulty invoice and clicking Customize at the bottom of the invoice screen. From here you'll see all your templates and verify if you're using the right one. I encourage you to check this and let me know if they're the same.

I also recommend checking this article which shares more info on how to: Customize invoices, estimates, and sales receipts in QuickBooks Online.

Give this a try and if you have questions, I recommend contacting our support team using this link. Otherwise, feel free to leave a comment below. I'll be on standby.
