Invoicing

I am trying to recall an invoice to add more details to it, and QB does not recall it. Instead I get the bottom part of a blank invoice. Why won't it recall the entire invoice? Thanks in advance for any assistance that can be offered!

Hi, @Sharebare. Welcome to the Community. I can help you add more details to your invoice in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

 

In QBO, you can add more details to your invoice by editing it. It means that you need to locate and open the transaction manually.

 

Here's how:

 

  1. Sign in to your QBO account.
  2. Click on Sales on the left pane, then Invoices.
  3. Locate the invoice, then tap on the drop-down arrow under Action.
  4. Select View/Edit, then make the necessary changes.
  5. Hit Save and close.

 

Once done, you can resend the invoice to your customer and remind him to disregard the first transaction you sent.

Invoicing

Good Morning,

Thank-you for your kind assistance. When I tried to edit the way you described, the invoice does not open. Rather, the green "thinking" circle continues to go around and around, but never actually opens the invoice. I don't know what I am supposed to do, but I really need to get my invoicing done...

Thanks for reaching back out to us here. It's important that you're able to access your invoices. I can provide some information. It may be browsing data on your system that is preventing the software from doing what it is supposed to do. Here are some steps to resolve issues that are caused by browsing data:
 


If you're still unable to open invoices, I recommend reaching out to the support team outside of the Community. They'll be able to verify your account details in a secure setting, as well as view your screen to better assist you. They also have the necessary tools to create a ticket to get the issue resolved if they see fit. You can reach them by following one of these methods:


Schedule a Callback or start a Chat: click (?)Help in the upper right > type and enter "Contact support" into the QB Assistant > click Contact Us > explain your situation > click Let's Talk > choose Get a callback or Start a Chat.
