Is there any way to send out automatic statements on certain days each month?

How about automatically adding interest? Doesn't seem like a huge ask, and I cannot find it anywhere.  I have a handful of customers who never pay on time and need constant reminders.  I know the easiest thing would be to drop these customers, but that isn't an option at the moment.  Why is it so hard to have monthly statements sent out with added interest.  Quick books isn't "quick" when I have to manually do these things and add reminders in my calendar because there isn't an automatic option.  And yes, I have already "sent feedback".  I would like to think that with the subscription price increasing continually, basic features would also be introduced.

Hi nobodycares,

It's nice to see you reaching out here.  Welcome!  I can see how time consuming it can be, when you find it necessary to remind your customers of their outstanding balances.  QuickBooks Online provides the ability to send automatic reminders, so you don't need to keep track manually.  I'd be glad to help!

To get started, you'll need to turn on the automatic reminder feature.  Here's how;

1. Open your Settings ⚙ and then Account and settings

2. Select the Sales tab

3. Click on the Edit ✎ in the Reminders section

4. Turn on Automatic invoice reminders

5. Select the ▼ dropdown for Reminder 1, and turn on the toggle switch.

6. From the ▼ dropdown menu, select days, and before or after to tell QuickBooks when to send the reminder

Note: You can schedule and send email reminders up to 90 days before or after the invoice due date.

7. Create additional reminders as you see necessary

When you create an invoice, the reminder is scheduled based on the due date on the form. Ensure the customer email address is in the Customer email field on invoices. You can review which customers received the reminders, by going to Sales, then select All sales.  You'll see "(Reminded)" in the Status column after the reminder has been sent.

Although there currently isn't an option for automatic interest to be applied, you can create a service or non-inventory item for the interest and apply it as a line item to your sales forms.

If you have other questions, feel free to reach out again.  We would be happy to assist!

Is there any way to send out automatic statements on certain days each month?

As stated in my question, I would like to send out automatic *statements* for overdue accounts each month. Not invoices but statements.  It would be nice if every time subscription price went up, so would simple features such as automatic monthly over due statements and interest charges.

Hi,

As OP stated, they were asking about the possibility of sending out automatic *statements*. Is this something that can be done?

Thank you

Hello jordannnnnnn1. Thanks for chiming in on this thread. The ability to send out automatic statements isn't available. I recommend utilizing third-party apps that you can search for on our site www.apps.com. In the meantime, feel free to ask other questions. I'm here to help.

This is a simple feature that should be available. Like noted, every time the subscription prices goes up we should be getting more features.Very limited what a person can do in quickbooks online compared to other software's.
