Move Desktop Pro 2019 from one computer to another

I have Desktop Pro 2019 on my computer, but I need to move it to another computer because the original computer is glitching too much.  Using the CD, I have downloaded Quickbooks onto my new computer (License numbers etc, were fine) but I can not get the program to activate.  So, I downloaded Quickbooks Tool Hub and did the fixes, then rebooted my computer.  I still can not get the program to activate.  Does anyone have any fixes?

Move Desktop Pro 2019 from one computer to another

Hi there, Clareswim.

Thank you for confirming that your new computer meets all the required specifications for QuickBooks Desktop Pro 2019.

Since activation is still failing, even though all system requirements are met, let's try resetting your license file. It may have become corrupted during installation, which can prevent activation.

Here are the steps to reset the license file:

  1. Close QuickBooks Desktop.
  2. Open the Windows Start Menu, search for "File Explorer," and then open it.
  3. Navigate to the following folder: C:\ProgramData\Intuit\Entitlement Client\v8.
  4. Locate the file named EntitlementDataStore.ecml and delete it.
  5. Reopen QuickBooks Desktop, enter your license and product information, and try activating the program again.

If this does not resolve the issue, you can also try performing a manual activation.

Here’s how:

  1. Open QuickBooks Desktop.
  2. Press F2 on your keyboard to open the Product Information screen.
  3. While the Product Information screen is open, press Ctrl + R + P simultaneously. This will open the manual Activation window, where you can enter a Validation Code.

If you have any additional questions or need further assistance, feel free to reply in the comments.
