Did anyone else just receive a notification of a close to 50% price increase on their Quickbooks software? Needless to say I'm floored!
I like my desktop version and do not want to switch to the cloud based version but I feel that they are slowly pushing us that way. While I understand there are certain costs to maintaining different products, this seems VERY excessive and extreme!
what is there to clarify? what assistance will be provided? is there any chance that the price increase will be decreased to a reasonable amount?
That's their way of forcing you to switch to QB Online. If you stick with QB Desktop, you'll pay a premium price. If you don't need to run any add-ons, you should switch to the old QB Desktop with a non-subscription license.
Apparently, it's time for the annual insult from QBO. What makes it worse this year is they directly tied the increase to the AI trash the community has been complaining about for two years. In fact, the only positive comment Intuit has posted about their AI comes from someone the.writes "firm of the future" material for Intuit so yet another example that they think we're idiots. Even the feedback link has become tailored for troubleshooting, asking for screenshots of the error so no,.they aren't listening. There must be a viable alternative to tone deaf Intuit!
Of course, no one.you can reach on the phone can comment on the obvious. They've already discontinued sales of new QBD subscriptions in the US so we know QBD will eventually be a relic of the past at some point. A responsive company that values their customers would provide a timeline so the change could be made at a time convenient to the client instead of trying to learn a new platform in the small window Intuit gives us for all of their other changes. Worst customer service ever!
