Hi! Thank you for responding!!! I still have my license code and product key code. That goes through fine and then QB asks for registration. Then I fill in the required info. Then it says the following: Quickbooks online registration process did not finish.
Any ideas what I could be doing incorrectly?
Hello AnnieD_2. It's good you still have your license information. In order to fix the error you've described, I recommend troubleshooting this issue using the QuickBooks Tool Hub. You need to contact Support and ask them to generate the activation code. Make sure you can access CAMPS and find your license code there beforehand. Otherwise, you can use the trial version for QB Desktop 2018 as a workaround.
Hi!! Thank you for your response! Unfortunately the Tool Hub hasn't been able to correct this issue. I have installed QB and still have my data and company files. QB then asks me to register. I fill in a form regarding company information then another regarding current or previous accounting software. Once that is done it gives the following message: Quickbooks online registration process did not finish. Please try to register again. If you continue to have problems registering online, select "Skip online check and register by phone" from the registration dialog.
My internet connection is great, so I know that isn't the problem. QB Desktop support has been discontinued in my country (South Africa) which is why I am reaching out here.

Which country version of QB Desktop do you have? US, CA or UK?
I think its UK
They have discontinued QB Desktop UK version. You can try to chat UK support and ask them to generate the activation code. If they refuse to provide one, you may consider to use the trial version as a workaround.

I have found a QB Enterprise trial on the US site. Do you think I could use that? Thanks so much!!!
You can't use QB Desktop US version to open other country version. You need to purchase a 3rd party conversion service. Contact me in private and we can share the trial version of QB Desktop 2018 UK version.
