Our company is Canadian. Are we able to accept payments from International clients?
Hello there Learning Curve,
Welcome to the Community! I'm glad that you're considering using Intuit QuickBooks Payments to receive your customers' payments by credit card. I can see how being able to accept these payments from international customers would be handy, so let me go over this with you.
There isn't an option to accept payment from international customers or payment methods using Intuit QuickBooks Payments. This information can be found in our Merchant Agreement and Acceptable Use Policy. In particular, Section 2 of the Merchant Agreement indicates that the service is only available in Canada and which payment networks are accepted (VISA, MasterCard, Discover, ApplePay).
If you need a merchant service that'll allow for international payments, you may find it helpful to navigate to the Apps section in-product. You'll be able to find the different apps that sync with QuickBooks that may offer the service you need.
Let me know if you have further questions. Take care!

Hello
Long time quickbooks desktop fan and just today signed up for the online version.
Was really looking forward to intergrate credit card payments with my invoices via email but it looks as though this is unavailable in the quickbooks online international version. Do I understand this correctly? My question is: Does quickbooks have plans to incorporate this credit card payment option in the international version in the future?? Its just I work in the yachting industry here in Spain and nearly all my clients are international and this feature would be SOOOOOO usefull. I must admit to being quite dissapointed that it is unavailable.
i will look into the apps as was suggested previously but just wondering if there are plans for this in the future?
If your company is located in the US or CA, you can utilize the following merchant service.
Thanks for your reply FIAT lux but unfortunately I am Based in Spain and have a Quickbooks online international version. Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Thanks for posting here again, @CABBS esp.
At the moment, the option to receive online payments is available for select regions. For countries outside USA and Canada, you need to find a third-party payment processing for your customer payments.
Also, you can check with your bank if they provide this payment arrangement you need. Please know that you can share this as a suggestion to our engineers. Follow the steps below in a web browser:
For now, we're unable to provide the turnaround time on when new features are released in QuickBooks, since this is handled by the Developers Team. All our program features and enhancements are launched and created with you in mind.

You can utilize a free invoicing app to accept payments by PayPal and integrate it with your QBO account. Your clients will be able to pay the invoice by credit cards without having any PayPal accounts.
Once you have connected an app, such as Wise or Online Invoice Payments, how do you make it available for payment in an invoice? I still only see the options for credit card and bank payments.
Hi there gallantsolutions,
It's vital that you get paid for the services you offer your customers. QuickBooks Online is a great tool able to connect to various other services through apps to help you manage your sales and payments. I can point you in the right direction for support with these apps.
In order to know how you would go about using these apps to get paid for your invoices sent through QuickBooks, you'd need to reach out to the developer of the specific third-party app you're using to accept your payments. They'll be able to provide information on the capabilities of the app they've designed and be able to help you set it up so you can get paid. You can find the information on how to reach out to the developer of the apps you've chosen by going to the Apps section in QuickBooks Online, then My Apps. Click on the app in question, then you'll see support information for the app you have connected.
