Hey there JANECCC1,
Thanks for reaching out to us here. QuickBooks Online is a great tool to have, It helps keep your books balanced. It's important that you're able to continue with your QuickBooks goals. I can provide some information.
It may be browsing data on your system that is preventing the software from doing what it is supposed to do. Here are some steps to resolve issues that are caused by browsing data:
If you're still unable to connect your account without receiving the error message, I recommend reaching out to the support team outside of the Community. They'll be able to verify your account details in a secure setting, as well as view your screen to better assist you. They also have the necessary tools to create a ticket to get the issue resolved if they see fit. You can reach them by following one of these methods:
Schedule a Callback or start a Chat: click (?)Help in the upper right > type and enter "Contact support" into the QB Assistant > click Contact Us > explain your situation > click Let's Talk > choose Get a callback or Start a Chat.
Social Media: Facebook and Twitter
If you have any other questions, feel free to reach out here.
Jane, did any of the recommended solutions work for you? I've been struggling with the same issue for months... I already changed Credit Card providers once because of a similar issue... I think that if this sort of issue continues, I will change accounting software instead....
Hello, my problem has been resolved. I provided the error message page to the QBO technical team (Click “Feedback” in QBO and type your Issue) and after waiting for 2 days, I tried reconnecting and it was successful.
The way to find the feedback link:
When you fail to reconnect, a blue link will appear, asking you what is preventing you from reconnecting. Click on it and type your issue.
You have clicked a link to a site outside of the QuickBooks or ProFile Communities. By clicking "Continue", you will leave the community and be taken to that site instead.
