me too i can't drag and drop anymore??
Seems they made a change in QBO yesterday. This is so frustrating, having to hunt for the file. Are you able to remove / delete existing attachments (i .e. is the little 'x' there at the right end of the uploaded file?, because if not, then it seems you can't delete it, which is problematic).
so far im just trying to drag and drop if i can't drag and drop my work will double are they going to fix?
Totally agree - this will cost my clients lots of money when things take at least twice as long to do now. Not good.
Hi there joaniegrandy and Lala63,
it's vital that all your transactions contain the right information for your records as well as to keep your customers correctly informed. QuickBooks Online is a great tool able to help you keep track of sales made as well as expenses so you can see the profit of your company. I can point you in the right direction for assistance with attachments.
There is currently a known issue affecting attachments to transactions in QuickBooks Online. Our engineers are aware and are working to get this resolved. I recommend reaching out to the QuickBooks Online support team outside of the Community, as they'll be able to provide some troubleshooting steps as well as attach you to the list of affected accounts so you can receive an email notification once the issue is resolved. You can reach out to them using one of these methods:
Schedule a Callback or start a Chat: click (?)Help in the upper right > type and enter "Contact support" into the QB Assistant > click Contact Us > explain your situation > click Let's Talk > choose Get a callback or Start a Chat.
Social Media: Facebook and Twitter
If you have any other questions, feel free to reach out here.
Hi Alex,
The engineers have restored these features to their previous functionality now, thankfully. I spend an hour on the chat last evening and found out that these problems were being reported by many many QBO users, so it's obvious the issue was escalated promptly and rolled back to the way it had been. It was completely unacceptable that attachments couldn't be removed from QBO records, and I'm glad the engineers realized this and corrected that so they can now be deleted if needed.
Also, the drag and drop functionality has been restored to the attachments box within the applicable records in QBO - again, thankfully, as this change would have increased users' time taken to attach documents from a second to upwards of 30 seconds each time. Glad to see the hive mind complaining got these issues resolved very quickly!
Hello again Lala63,
I'm happy to hear that you're able to add your attachments. If you have any other questions, feel free to reach out here.
