Hi Carissa22,
It's important you're able to view your on hand inventory and I'll be happy to give you a hand. QuickBooks is a powerful program which makes it simple to manage your transactions allowing you to save time and money.
Based on what you've described, I'd recommend uninstalling the app and reinstalling it. This refreshes the app allowing it to function more efficiently. I encourage you to give this a try and let me know how you make out. You can also access your inventory from the web browser to get a broader view of your products and services. You can view this by clicking Sales > Product and Services. Here's an article with more info on products and services.
Feel free to ask other questions. I'm here to help you get back on track.
Hello Carissa22,
I just wanted to take a moment to clarify what was covered here by my colleague and by Fiat Lux to ensure that you know how to move forward with your inventory management and QuickBooks Online while making use of the mobile app.
The mobile app for QuickBooks Online is a handy tool to have, and I love that you're looking for the ways that you can make use of this login option to manage your books. While the mobile app is great for simple invoicing and expensing, for instance, it does have its limitations. One of those limitations is how much information is displayed to you while in the app environment. For instance, payroll information doesn't appear in the app and only a certain number of reports do. Another limitation comes with inventory management.
As you've noticed, you can see the basics of your inventory on your phone and using the app, but details like quantity on hand are missing. In this case, the app isn't designed to show those details. I've followed up with my team to ensure we're all on the same page with these features and capabilities in the mobile environment. I recommend using a computer or even a mobile browser instead when you're wondering about the more detailed parts of your inventory setup.
As for what Fiat Lux mentioned about using a third-party app, that's certainly an option you can consider. In this case, those apps won't necessarily integrate directly with what QuickBooks Online's inventory management module has and may be a separate management solution entirely. You can review the options for apps that connect with QuickBooks Online by logging in on a computer or mobile browser and selecting Apps.
I also invite you to leave feedback about the features available in QuickBooks Online and our mobile app. From the mobile app, you can leave feedback by navigating to the help section of the app, which is typically represented as a (?) icon. From a browser, you can leave feedback by following these steps: How do I submit feedback?
I'll be here if you'd like further clarification.
JamesM4 are you telling me that the QBO app does have inventory on it? I don't see it anywhere...and I see people have been asking for it for over 3 years with absolutely nothing happening. But they have all been assured that Intuit really cares....???
@Anonymous
They offer QB Commerce to manage your inventory on a gadget but it only supports QBO US version. You need to have a 3rd party app to integrate with QBO CA version.
