Hello cmsconstruction,

Thanks for being a part of the QuickBooks Online family! We've been making some changes to the way QuickBooks Online looks, including moving some buttons around. Don't worry, the shortcuts you're used to are still available, just in a new location. I'll help you find it.

Previously, the (+) icon was in the upper right, alongside the magnifying glass, gear, and (?)Help icons. Now, it's moved over to the left-hand menu and has been renamed +New. Here's a screenshot to show you where I mean.

When you click that button, you'll see all the same shortcuts as before, including Estimates. Keep in mind too that you can create Estimates from the Sales section as well. Here's a look at the menu.

That should get you back on track! I'm here if you need anything else.

Thanks. LauraAB.  I feel sort of silly, now that I see where the "old" buttons are now located....:o(.  Guess I should look under "NEW" in the future...:o)

Thanks,

Mac

No need to feel silly, mackilts. Sometimes we just need to be pointed in the right direction to find where things have gone. This new button is even taking some getting used to for me! I'm happy to have been able to lend a hand. :)

Am I missing something or did the +New change in the last couple of days?  I am getting used to clicking it on the left hand side of the page but today I have to open the menu bar first (if that's the right name for that).  Yesterday I was sure the +New button always stayed on my screen; now I need to do the extra step of opening the sidebar to reveal the +New button.  Any help is appreciated.  Thanks.

Hey Deidre. Can you send me a screenshot of what you're seeing so I know we're on the same page? I'll help you sort this out.

Oh, dear, there was either a glitch with the computer or more likely with me.  The +New button and side menu bar are back now that I've restarted QuickBooks.  Thanks for your help!

Is it possible to put it back where it was? I toggle between 3 companies, they all look different now, which is confusing. I preferred it the old way, I don't see the "improvement" in moving it.

I hear what you're saying and can see how having to navigate between the old and new interface with your three accounts. The update to the interface is still rolling out, but before too long, all of your accounts should be on the same layout.

There isn't currently a way to toggle back to the old interface. I recommend submitting feedback about this through the Gear icon. We value and appreciate the feedback from our customers and your message will be forwarded to our product development team for consideration.

Let me know if you have more questions!

I'm with you Brien....It's driving me nuts. I just want an option to put it back myself but I'm sure that will never happen.
