On every single receipt Quickbooks is somehow pulling/making up an incorrect subtotal (pre tax amount) and therefore giving me the incorrect GST amount paid, for example I have a receipt that shows:
subtotal: 649.00
gst: 32.45
pst: 45.43
total: 726.88
uploaded and after I click apply sales tax it shows me this:

First, I'd like to start off by troubleshooting this issue to determine if it's a browser-related issue. Clearing cache and cookies is a great way to clean your browser allowing it to work more efficiently. Here's an article that shows you how to do that: How to clear cache and cookies. If this doesn't work, I suggest using a private/incognito window to see if that works instead. Try this out and let me know what happens.
I'll be one message away in case you need further assistance.
I also can't find the solution to this, on QB desktop I can easily adjust items that are charged 12% pst/gst and then record the 5% gst only, as we do not need to submit pst reports in our business.
I can't seem to do that on QBO - what is the solution?
Purchase is $71.81 - I am allowed to get back my 5% gst $3.21, but QBO is recording gst as $3.42
Pretax amount should be $64.11 + $4.49 (which would be my pst payment) = $68.60, but gst is only on $64.11
not $68.60 - therefore it's incorrect.
How do you suggest fixing this so I'm not doing a false tax submission?
