Setup a company (ran for 4 years) that was managed (administrated) externally by a CPA firm till business was sold. Once sold, I had to setup a new QB online company but am trying to import my old companies general ledger into my new company's general ledger to show transaction history for the 4 years. Can this be done in QB Online?
I see I can export GL data (which I have done) but I can only import invoices, journal entries and bills. Does this mean I need to take the GL data and segment into the 3 import options to bring into QB Online? Seems wrong.
Anyone out there had to do this and have a suggestion? Please/Thanks
John

Before uploading your file, you'll need to make sure it's in .csv format. It should include columns for the Account name, Type, Detail type and Number. Here's a detailed guide to assist you with importing the chart of accounts in QuickBooks Online.

You can purchase a 3d party migration service. Another option, use a migration tool.
