How to pull ID of projects in QBO? You can find the ID of customers at the end of the url on their page. The one on the project url is not the id linked to name field.

On customer pages you can see "nameid=" on the end of the url of the customer page, but on project pages it shows a much longer ID and it is not the ID that syncs to the name field. I know this because I am using Zapier to sync entries and using the ID from the project url results in an error, but using zapier I could find an ID that worked for the project, wondering if there is an easier way to find this in QBO since finding it through Zapier is very inefficient.

Hello usertjacques,

Welcome to the Community. QuickBooks Online enables you to get your work done faster with the help of the powerful features included in the program. I'll be happy to share more info so you're on the right track with achieving your goals.

The program gives you the flexibility to search for entries including Projects using the Advanced Search feature. In order to take advantage of this feature, click on the Magnifying glass at the top right of your account > once the search drop-down appears, click on the blue link that says Advanced Search > on the search filter, select the matching criteria, and specifically filter it to show the line description. After hitting Search, you'll be able to see the entries you're looking for based on the search criteria you use in this case which is the ID.

I encourage you to try this out and let me know how you make out. I'll be one message away in case you need additional support.

Hi, thank you for your answer but it appears you may have misunderstood my question as this does not answer it. I am looking for how to obtain the nameid of projects in the first place, not how to search by it.
