Hi everyone!
I am wondering about this point:
I use the QB2020 Desktop version, and can my accountant use it even though he has the Accountant online version? Would it work?
Or does he have to have the desktop version too...
Thank you!

Hello again Mouselette!
It seems we're destined to cross paths today! You've got a great question about working with an accountant when you have QuickBooks Desktop. I'm happy to let you know how it works.
It's great you have an accountant that's also using QuickBooks. This is often the ideal situation because it means having someone who understands the program and has the accounting knowledge to help navigate your books. In this case, your accountant will also need to have a copy of QuickBooks Desktop in order to be able to assist with your file. Ideally, he would have the QuickBooks Desktop Accountant edition and not just regular QuickBooks Desktop. Like the Online Accountant version, the Desktop Accountant edition would give him access to extra tools that allow for specific changes to be made.
Your accountant is welcome to visit the website I linked in the last paragraph to learn more about QuickBooks Desktop Accountant Edition and give the sales team a call to discuss his options. He can get the number by clicking the Contact us option at the top of that page.
It sounds like you may have found this information already, but feel free to take a look at the following article to learn more about accountant's copies: Create an Accountant's Copy of your company file in QuickBooks Desktop
I'm also here for you if you have further questions. :)

I use desktop enterprise and I imported my accountant's file but all of it did not load. It gave me a message
"because of computer limitations," it could not upload all of the files. The files not uploaded were all payroll files. I am not a payroll admin and thought that might be the problem. If I have the accountant send over another file to the payroll admin and she imports the accountant's file will there be duplicates? If I ask the accountant to just send the files over to the payroll admin that did not import will that work? What is the best way to get all of the files into my company?
