Hi jeffriesplumbing,
Welcome to Community! Having your bank statements automatically uploaded in QuickBooks Online is beneficial when reconciling. I'd be happy to provide some insight here!
The bank statement feature is only available in QuickBooks Online Essentials, Plus, Advanced, and Accountant products. If you aren't currently subscribed to one of these products, you'll need to upgrade your subscription. However, it's also possible that your bank may not support the statement option. To see which banks support this feature, click here. Uploading the statement into QuickBooks Online, will always be in .pdf format. However, if you're wanting to upload transactions, the file should be in .csv format.
Here's how to upload your bank statement;
1. Open your Settings ⚙ and select Reconcile
2. Choose the Account to be reconciled from the ▼ dropdown menu
Note; If you see the View statements option, you can get your bank statements directly from your bank for this account.
3. Select View statements
4. When you're ready, hit Start reconciling or Resume reconciling
