Hi there CSketcher,

Reports are a great tool that enable you to get a snapshot of your business. There are tons of customizable reports right at your fingertips in QuickBooks Online and I'd like to point out a few that I know you'll find useful.

The Estimates by Customer report shows your estimates, grouped by customer, and whether they've been accepted or invoiced. The Estimates & Progress Invoicing Summary by Customer also shows your estimates grouped by customer, as well as what's been invoiced and what's left to invoice. Both of these reports can be customized to show additional details by using the Customize button in the upper right. Another helpful report would be the Transaction List by Customer which shows Estimates among all other transactions for each customer.

I know you're looking for a report that breaks down your estimates by products/services and includes the rate, quantity, and amounts. There isn't a report in QuickBooks that shows that data but I can definitely see how it would provide beneficial information. If you're interested in exporting your Estimates in order to manipulate the data on your own, here's how:

  1. Hover over the Sales tab, then select All Sales.
  2. Using the Filter button, select Estimates as the type.
  3. Include any additional filters that you see fit, then click Apply.
  4. Next to the printer icon to the right, select the small icon with an arrow. This allows you to export and save your list of estimates.

To let our product development team know how a more comprehensive estimates report would make doing your books an easier process, please submit feedback. Input on what features should be added or improved is important in achieving our goal of getting our customers back to business.

Have a fantastic day and don't hesitate to reach out if you have any additional questions.
