Hi there stopattheoffice,

It's important that all your transactions are correctly entered for your books to be well balanced. QuickBooks Online is a great tool able to help you keep track of sales and expenses so you can see the profit of your business. I can point you in the right direction for assistance with recording these transactions.

In order to know how you should be keeping track of these transactions relating to your courtesy vehicle, I recommend speaking to an accountant. They'll be able to tell you if this should be tracked in a separate account or not, and which transaction type to use in order to make sure the money movement is correctly represented in your books. You can invite your accountant to your QuickBooks account by going to the My Accountant tab. You can also find an accounting professional near you that has experience using QuickBooks by clicking on the Find a pro to help option to help you in this section.

If you have any further questions, please feel free to ask them here.

Could you use Projects to identify the labour and materials related to any repairs/maint. to the courtesy car?
