Hi Ray26,
I'm happy to see you've been able to export this report! QuickBooks Desktop is packed with top-notch reporting features, helping you gain insight and full visibility over your financials. Using the powerful customization options unlocks almost limitless possibilities, so you can be confident in finding the report you want. I'll be happy to help you find this information.
Since you're already making full use of your payroll transaction report, the easiest way to see totals by payroll item is to run the Payroll Item Detail. This awesome report can be found in the Employees and Payroll section of your Reports dropdown, and displays totals for all your payroll items.
Hope this helps! Let me know if there's anything else I can help you with.
Hi again Ray26,
Report customization features are designed with fundamental changes in mind, making it easy to see the information you need. Since QuickBooks holds that priority, cosmetic changes like this are best done by exporting the report to Excel. The totals per item can be found in the Payroll Item Detail report.
Don't hesitate to reply, and I'll be happy to help.
