Sales Report

When I pull up the Sales Detail Report and include the PAID column it shows whether the invoices are paid or unpaid. But when I include the Paid Date nothing comes in that column even when the invoice shows as being paid. Any reasons for that?

Hi there jamatsko,

It's important all your transactions be entered properly for all your books to be well balanced. QuickBooks Online is a great tool able to generate multiple reports to see all aspects of the finances of your company. I can point you in the right direction for assistance with reports.

For assistance with reports and why this field appears empty in the Sales detail report, I recommend reaching out to the QuickBooks Online support team outside of the Community. They'll be able to view your screen with you in a secure setting in order to help view the report settings with you to help you modify them to get the information you need out of them. You can reach them using these steps:

Schedule a Callback or start a Chat: click (?)Help in the upper right > type and enter "Contact support" into the QB Assistant > click Contact Us > explain your situation > click Let's Talk > choose Get a callback or Start a Chat.

If you have any other questions, feel free to reach out here.

Thanks for the reply.

I don't use the Online version. Tried it but it does not work for the construction industry and then when I was told that I could not be provided with a backup, I pulled out and went to the Desktop version which works 100% better.

I have tried many ways to get the report I need but there is always something not there or the wrong information. If I get the paid date then the amount showing is the total invoice including taxes of which I do not require. I just require the sales amount. It's like I have to generate 2 reports to get the information or click on every paid invoice and in excel, manually put the date in.
