Hi susanmquesnel-gm,

Thanks for reaching out to us here.  QuickBooks Online provides the option to export your reports to excel seamlessly.  These are exported in 'Protected View', and the amounts will appear as zero, as you've noted.  However, the values will appear when you select 'Enable Editing'.

If you experience the same result, please contact us for further review of your situation from our end.

Schedule a Callback or start a Chat: click (?) Help in the upper right in QuickBooks Online > enter "Contact support" > hit Contact Us > provide a brief summary of your situation > hit Let's Talk > choose Get a callback or Start a Chat.
Social Media: Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
Support hours are from Monday to Friday between 9 a.m. and 8 p.m. ET.

If any other questions should come to mind, please feel free to reach back out.  We'd be happy to help!

thanks for your reply.  Doesn't work.  I called in to support and the only way I can get values into the cells is to copy/paste into a whole new excel workbook.  It's a workaround but not "seamless" by any means.
