Hello lmurcia,
Great job with ensuring that these numbers are lining up. It's vital that numbers are matching to ensure that there are not only balanced books for your employer, but also accurate pay for you. I want to make sure you're able to sort this out with QuickBooks Online.
In this case, knowing more about the situation, such as how hours are being entered and what the difference is between them, is needed for getting to the bottom of this. Some things to consider are if the hours you're each looking at are falling under the same pay period, if there was perhaps a typo on someone's part, and other such things. I recommend starting by reviewing the details of the hours and how they were entered with your employer.
Next, if things still aren't lining up as you're expecting, contacting QuickBooks Online support is the way to go to sort this out. It would be useful to have you and your employer call together so that the support team member can get a sense of how things have been entered to see where things may have gone astray. If only one of you is able to call, please make sure whoever it is has as much information as possible about what's going on, including details like I've highlighted above.
Here are the ways to get in touch once you're ready.
Schedule a Callback or Chat: click (?)Help in the upper right > type and enter "Contact support" into the QB Assistant > click Contact Us > explain your situation > click Let's Talk > choose Get a callback or Start a Chat. Support is available from Monday to Friday between 9 a.m. and 8 p.m. ET.
Social Media: Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
Choose whichever option works best and we'll help you figure this out! Have a great week.
I am having that trouble as well. For some reason when running report "hours by team member" it gives the total in decimal instead of hours. How do you change that?
Hi Shelleyd22.
Making sure your getting the right information when running your reports is imperative to help save time and effort. I'd be happy to point you in the right direction.
As that report is part of the QuickBooks Time program I recommend reaching out to our QuickBooks Time team as they have the tools to pull up your account and see what could be going on. This way they can direct you step by step through the program and walk you through how to correct this. You can reach them by following the steps in this article.
If you have any questions let us know and we'd be happy to help!
