Preparing and saving packing slips

QuickBooks Desktop doesn't have a specific feature to save packing slips directly to a customer profile. To achieve your goal, we can save the document as a Microsoft Print to PDF or any PDF redirector you use, then attach it to your customer's information.

First, you need to have your packing slip as a PDF ready within the software. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Customers menu, then select Customer Center.
  2. Choose your customer and locate the Sales Order or Invoice you want to print as a packing slip.
  3. Open the transaction. Click the Print drop-down arrow at the top and select Packing Slip.
  4. In the Print settings, choose Microsoft Print to PDF or any PDF redirector.
  5. Once done, click Print.
  6. Save the file to a temporary location on your computer, like your Desktop.

Next, attach the file to the customer profile by clicking the Attach paperclip icon located in the toolbar at the top of the Customer Information pane. In the Attachments window that appears, click the Computer icon to browse for and upload your saved PDF packing slip.

Let me know if you need further help with the QuickBooks packing slip.
