I'm happy to see you reach out in Community. Welcome! Ensuring your customers invoices are received and paid is important when keeping your books up to date. QuickBooks Online allows you to easily see the customer transactions and status for the invoices you've sent. I'd be glad to provide the steps for you.
Let's have a look at the invoice for your customer to confirm if it's been marked as paid by going to > Sales > Customers > Click on the Customer Name and then on the Transaction List tab to see if the status is Paid. I'd then recommend going to the Chart of Accounts > locate the account where the payment should have been applied > click on Account History to the far right and look for the transaction. You'll be able to Filter the transactions by date to minimize your search.

Schedule a Callback: click the Question Mark in the upper right corner of QuickBooks Online > type and enter "Contact Support" in the QuickBooks Assistant > click Contact Us > give a brief description of the issue > click Let's Talk > choose Get a callback.
