Change address on my invoice

Hello ponchostransport-,

Welcome to the QuickBooks Community! It's important to display the correct address for both your business and your customer on an invoice. Luckily, QuickBooks Online makes it easy to add or update addresses, and I'm here to show you how.

If it's your customer's address that you'd like to change, you'll want to follow the steps below:

  1. Navigate to the the Sales tab on the left, then Customers.
  2. Find and select the name of customer that you're invoicing.
  3. Click Edit in the upper right corner.
  4. Update the Billing or Shipping address to reflect the customer's correct address.
  5. Hit the green Save button.

Changing your company's address as it appears on an invoice requires editing the company information in your settings. Please refer to the steps below to do so:

  1. Navigate to the Gear icon, then select Account and settings.
  2. Select the Edit pencil next to the section titled Address.
  3. Enter the correct company address for your business. If it's the same as your Customer-facing address be sure to check the corresponding box to indicate that. If not, leave it unchecked and enter your customer-facing address as well.
  4. Click Save to save changes and then hit Done

I'm confident you'll have the correct address displaying on your invoice in no time! I'll be on standby if you have any follow-up questions.

Thanks for joining the thread and letting us know what you needed help or, @9130350399899176.

I want to help you change the business address that appears on you invoices. Before anything else, may I know if you have tried the steps shared by
Rebecca R? Were you able to replicate the steps or are you getting any issues or error messages while trying it? Any details will help me provide the best resolution for this problem.

The steps shared by my colleague is the updated process when changing the business address. If you're unable to access the settings or getting errors along the way, I suggest opening your account in a private web browser first or trying a different one. We need check if this is a caching problem.

Unexpected issues with the features in QuickBooks are sometimes associated with the amount of data stored in the cache. This is because a regular browser will constantly overwrite itself and will not remove history unless done manually.

Private browsing will not save any history, so it's a great place to identify issues in the browser. Use these keyboard shortcuts to launch a new private window:

  • Google Chrome: press Ctrl Shift N
  • Mozilla Firefox: press Ctrl Shift P
  • Safari: press Command Shift N

If the problem doesn't come up, clear the cache to resolve browser issues in QBO. You can also use a different browser and see if the issue persists there.

Kindly update this thread for the additional details. I'll be right here to help you further with managing your invoice information. All the best.

Change address on my invoice

Is it possible to have different office addresses on invoices for different clients, such as making a "Nova Scotia" template invoice and an "Alberta" template invoice.  Every time I try is changed the address for everything.  I am doing it in the customize documents area

Change address on my invoice

Hi there Heidi Sayle,

It's important that all your transactions have the correct information for your books to be well-balanced. QuickBooks Online is a great tool able to help you create and send invoices for your customers. I can provide some information about addresses.

in QuickBooks Online, all sales forms show your address as being the one known as the Customer address., so there isn't the option to have separate addresses for each form style. This is also why when you change the address on one form style, it has an effect on other form styles. I can see how having multiple addresses be shown for multiple form styles would be a feature you'd like to see to help manage your customers. I recommend leaving feedback in the system by clicking on the Gear icon, then Feedback. The comments made in that section are taken into consideration by our developers when creating new features for the software.

If you have any further questions, please feel free to ask them here.
