Does GoPayment work in Canada? I tried to get the app on my phone to take credit card payments through the card reader, and it says the application is unavailable.

Thanks for reaching out about processing payments from your customers. QuickBooks Payments is a great tool able to allow your customers to pay for your services directly in the invoice you've sent. I can provide some information about GoPayment.

GoPayment is not a feature available for QuickBooks Online Canada, and that would be why you don't see it available in the app store. The options to process payments for customers using QuickBooks Payments would be to key it in through QuickBooks Online itself for credit card payments, or send the invoice to your customer, so they can use their credit card or bank account to pay it.

Consider having a 3rd party merchant service to integrate with QBO. You can use a wireless dongle (phone swiper) that work with all the other payment methods you want to use. You can also use a swipe-terminal or virtual-terminal all pre-loaded with the ability to accept ApplePay, Google Wallet, and other NFC payments.
