Our bookkeeper does not have authority to pay expenses without the approval of 2 board members. We need an easier method of getting the approvals done. Thnx

Welcome to Community! I can see how beneficial it would be, to enable approval of expenses in QuickBooks Online, so they can be paid on time. I'd be happy to provide some insight here.

Although this feature isn't available in QuickBooks Online, you can upgrade to QuickBooks Online Advanced, that does provide the ability to set up and use bill approval workflows. You can create and send workflows automatically, as well as reminders that action is required. To learn more about setting up bill approval workflows, click here.

Another option, explore Wise Business to manage your bill payments with approval feature and connect it with QBO as the bank feeds.
