Hi there,
Keeping track of your invoices is an important task in QuickBooks Online. I know how handy it would be to be able to export your invoices to Excel, so you can generate additional information using spreadsheets. I'll explain how this works in QBO.
At this time, you're only able to save a PDF copy of the invoices created in QuickBooks, and you're unable to export to Excel. To save a PDF copy, click the Print or Preview button in the invoice, then select to Save the PDF.
There's a few things you can export to Excel, such as: General Ledger, Profit & Loss Report, Balance Sheet, Trial Balance, Journal Report, Customer list, Employee list, and Supplier list.
I think it would be really handy to add Invoices to the list of things available to export to Excel in QuickBooks Online. I'd be happy to pass on your feedback about this to our product development team for review. If you'd like to submit feedback about this as well, you can do this by clicking the Gear icon > Feedback. We're always looking for the best ways to make QuickBooks Online more user-friendly and helpful.
I hope this helps clear things up for you.
Cheers.
Being able to export invoices to Excel would be an excellent addition to the list of things we can export.
For example, I have several outstanding invoices for one client. I was trying to compile this into one document for their viewing and total calculations. Giving them a stack of papers or several reminder emails seems unorganized, unprofessional and inefficient.
Thanks!
Hey reflectsigns. Thanks for joining the discussion! I think this would be a great addition to the program as well, and I can see how helpful it would be to compile everything into one document. I'd suggest submitting your feedback about this to our product development team for review on future updates. You can do that by clicking the Gear icon > Feedback. I'll pass your thoughts on to my team as well.
Cheers!
