With QuickBooks Online, you can easily keep track of all of your entered transactions, even the ones you've deleted. With the Audit Log, you can see a list of all account activity. This includes when you've created and deleted transactions. If you remember the date when you deleted the invoice, that'll make finding it that much simpler. Follow these steps.
- Logged into a browser, click the Gear icon at the top right of your account.
- Click Audit Log in the Tools column.
- Click the Filter option.
- Select the appropriate User and Date or Date Range.
- Choose the Show only these events option.
- Check the box for Transactions.
- From the Show drop-down menu, choose Deleted/Voided transactions.
- In the Using drop-down menu, choose the related account if you'd like.
- Click Apply.
Look through the filtered transactions to find the invoice you need. If you're hoping to restore the invoice, you'll need to recreate it. The View option in the History column to the right can give you the details you need to create it again.
